Thoughts from a tournament

Since I have disappeared from other social networks, I have decided to blog. It's better that way.

The Lord always gives us exactly what we need. I was very discouraged before the tournament for several reasons. I had yet to go better than 4-2 at a tournament, I hadn't won an out round in regular season, I wasn't speaking well, and I couldn't win with our affirmative case. Before the tournament, I became very very sick with stomachaches. The night before the tournament began, I got no sleep. I was exhausted and throwing up. My awesome partner told me that 'When we are weak, He is strong." and that became my strength for tournament. I was exhausted and sick, but the Lord blessed us at the tournament, despite my sickness. He gave us a 5-1 record, had us sweep double octas, and allowed me to speak well enough for fifth place speaker award. We were third seed in out rounds, allowing us to take ninth. The Lord also didn't allow us to do TOO well, and I'm beginning to realize that is beneficial. Chris and I need to work on many things, and the Lord gave us the judges we needed to make that happen.

Keys

A few years ago. I got a brand new MacBook Pro. I’ve always loved my electronics. So much so, in fact, that after a few weeks of use, I decided it was time to clean the keyboard. I did some research and carefully removed all my keys, and cleaned them with rubbing alcohol. After a day of cleaning, I began to put all my keys back onto my keyboard. Well...except for my ‘n’ and ‘m’ key. Those are still sitting in a cup full of coins on my desk. Now anytime I bring my computer out in public, I always get told about my missing keys. As if I can’t tell my keys are missing. I then have to make up an explanation for why they’re missing and why I haven’t put them back on. Truth is, I don’t really know why I haven’t put those two keys back on. Maybe one day I’ll sit down and decide to put the keys back on my computer. But until then, my Mac is easily identifiable as the one with missing keys.

I've been thinking about starting a blog of sorts for quite a while now, and finally decided to do it. I'll just be sharing my thoughts on various subjects, such as debate, and my other hobbies and interests. I don't have a set posting schedule, I'll just post when I have something interesting to say.
